2018 Chrysler 300 Redesign, Release Date

The 2018 Chrysler 300 may have a new trim along with 5 existing variants. The exterior will have more curves than sharp creases. So, trims will include Limited, S, Alloy, C, Platinum and a new entrant labeled Touring.

The Chrysler 300 started its life as a luxury sedan and a station wagon version was also offered later. However, over the years it is the sedan variant that found popularity with the buyers. The second generation arrived as the luxury sedan and now the third generation model is being readied for release.

The FCA has equipped the 2018 Chrysler 300 with exterior styling revamps and some changes are there in the cabin too.

It can be laden with an exclusive Sport Appearance Package which adds black chrome grille surround, body-color rear spoiler, and premium LED fog lamps.

In the 300 C Trim of 2018 Chrysler 300, you get a Panoramic Dual-Pane Power Sunroof, Ventilated Front Seats, Heated Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel, etc. However, the 300C Platinum trim gets Fully Polished 20-Inch Aluminum Wheels, All-Season Performance Tires, Harman Kardon Premium Sound setup and HID headlamps.

The 2018 Chrysler 300 also gets a major boost on safety front. As it is, the FCA cannot overlook how rivals like Ford, Honda and GM are equipping their sedans in recent years with innovative safety features. Apart from the standard set of seatbelts and airbags, there are also quite a number of advanced safety features. ParkSense park assist is one of those. Available safety features are Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, advanced brake assist, Blind Spot Monitoring System.

However, the steering wheel is replete with media control switches and voice command. There is an embedded media hub in cabin with two USB ports and an audio jack.

Powerful Engine

The 2018 Chrysler 300 gets powered by a powerful 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine with eight-speed automatic transmission unit which makes 252 HP. The available 5.7L HEMI V8 engine is really beefy and it makes 363 HP.

The latter has embedded fuel saver technology. The AWD is offered as an option. Ride quality is pretty good and the suspension is tweaked well to soak in bumps. A sports mode is there to let you cruise on the highway even with full load.

Price and Availability

The FCA has not revealed the official pricing for 2018 Chrysler 300 yet. But the base trim price is expected to be around $33,000. Top trim price may be close to $43,000. It is going to be unveiled in late 2017.
