2018 Infiniti QX80 Specs, Prices and Rating

Since its creation in 2010, Infiniti QX80, the luxury SUV from a Japanese maker has not gone through remarkable changes. It has the same chassis and engine options through years. The introduction of 2018 Infiniti QX80 Monograph at the 2017 New York Auto Show has led to several assumptions regarding the upcoming model, the 2018 Infiniti QX80.

Though it is not a completely new model, still the market has not given up buzzing on it. The QX80 is a favorite luxury SUV for many people. A whole new redesign can be expected in 2019. The enthusiasts have to wait till then! And if you are to be feeling bored by the same old structure, then 2018 Infiniti QX80 is not for you!

Though it is not going to wow the SUV lovers with attractive new features, the new generation of Infiniti QX80 will be loved by the buyers who are fond of luxury SUV models. It will have a Base trim and a Limited trim. The Base trim of QX80 will also have an all-wheel-drive version. Keeping the same old chassis, Infiniti QX80 may have an improved running gear and even an air-ride system for a better drive on road and improved comfort inside.

Exterior:

The 2018 Infiniti QX80 size is the same; it will have the same height, width, and wheelbase. According to the concept, the new Infiniti QX80 for 2018 is going to have honeycomb mesh grille, a slim but robust bumper, skid plate, rain wipers, roof rails, moonroof made of tinted glass with power sliding feature and new LED lights with the auto on-off feature. The heavy look in the front is being changed into a slimmer, cleaner one to give it a luxury SUV get-up. As a whole, it will be an upgraded version of the old model, not a completely new one.

Interior:

Interior of the 2018 Infiniti QX80 is comfortable and luxurious with soft leather seats. The front seats with the heating facility are ideal for a comfortable drive in a cold weather. It has power windows for smooth operation. Also, aluminum, titanium and carbon fiber for interior materials are used. The Limited edition will have more lavish upholstery with customized seats. This three-row SUV will make adequate space for 8 people. The three-zone climate control with automation feature will perfectly maintain the balance in the environment inside. There will be additional facilities like storage units and cup holders.

2018 Infiniti QX80 Engine Options:

The 2018 QX80 is expected to run on 5.6-liter V8 engine paired with the 7-speed auto transmitter. The powertrain will be 400 hp while the torque is 413 lb-ft. It will also have an improved fuel economy. It is a little strange that a new generation car will have the same model of the engine as that of its predecessor. The outstanding success and popularity of the last model have led to this decision, says the Infiniti Motor Company chief Roland Krueger (he is also the senior vice president of Nissan).

It seems that the company is keener on retaining the consistency in popularity and demand of the previous model, then creating gimmicks. Also, there is no hard-and-fast rule that a new generation car must have a new engineering concept.
