The Japanese carmaker is going to spruce its portfolio with the new 2018 Nissan Armada. This model may not sport much exterior styling difference but the changes are inside the cabin and technological upgrades are there too.
2018 Nissan Armada – Design Changes and Colors
The exterior styling of 2018 Nissan Armada is bold and rugged. The redesigned grille and lamps lend it a macho appeal. However, the exterior color choices are Brilliant Silver, Gun Metallic, Forged Copper, Hermosa Blue, Super Black etc. The cabin is spacious and based on the trim you get cloth or leather upholstery choices. While the front and 2nd-row seats are good and large, same is not true about 3rd row-which is best suited for kids. There are 3 trims- SV, LS and premium. There are enough cups and bottle holders and you get decent cargo space as well.
Plenty of Safety Tech
The 2018 Nissan Armada gets enough safety features to cope with the rivals from stables of Honda and GM, as it is. All trims get safety features like airbags, Traction Control System, Tire Pressure Monitoring System. However, the Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System comes as standard.
The SV trim gets equipped with 18″ aluminum-alloy wheels, Automatic on/off the headlight, Dark-painted roof rail, Chrome door handles and grille, Acoustic windshield, Rear privacy glass. Under the Hood of the 2018 Nissan Armada
The 2018 Nissan Armada is equipped with a 5.6-liter 32-valve V8 engine. It makes 390 HP aided by a 7-speed automatic transmission unit. With the available towing package, the SUV’s towing capacity shots up to 8,500 pounds- quite good for its class. Its fuel economy is however quite average with 14/19 mpg. The upcoming model will accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 133 mph.
Debut Date and Cost
Finally, the 2018 Nissan Armada will be available for sale in a couple of months. The base trim price begins at $45,000 and the top trim price is $58,690 approx.
The new Nissan Armada is a nice SUV that has been updated for 2018. Styling is enticing and the features you get leave little room for grudges. There is a powerful engine inside but fuel economy figures are low. The Nissan, however, has taken care to include latest safety features and pricing has also been done aptly.
