Many details are not known about the 2018 Ram 1500 SRT yet, but according to rumors, it is going to be inspired by the Charger Hellcat and Challenger Hellcat. So though structural changes may not be very prevalent surely there will be good changes in the engine.
2018 Ram 1500 SRT – Design and Specifications
Regular features will be there in the 2018 RAM 1500 SRT. Fender flares around the wheel wells will be modified which will enhance the appeal. The design of the grille at the front will also be changed. Everything else from the fog lights to the bumper at the front will also be modified.
The body will be constructed from a combination of high-strength steel with aluminum. On the front grille, there will be HD LED lamps. The wheels will be of Aluminum and of 17 inches size and there will be modern side mirrors also. The tailgate will have the badge of RAM. To complement the overall look of the pickup the design of the exhaust system has also been revised. There will be three cab configurations which will be available; crew cab, quad cab and regular cab.
The design of the interior will also be modified, however, the changes on the inside will depend upon the trim level of the 2018 RAM 1500 SRT. On the whole, the interior will be more stylish and comfortable. The seats will be ventilated and their heights will be adjustable. Also, there will be plenty of legroom for a comfortable ride.
Along with the central touchscreen, there will be a cluster of smaller screens with some control buttons also. The new model will have a 6 speaker sound system and the cabin will have automatic climate control.
The 2018 Ram 1500 SRT will have the 6.2 liters V6 engine. The horsepower output will be 707 hp while the torque output will be 650 lb. – ft. This engine configuration is going to be available on the main trim of this pickup.
The engine will give a mileage of approximately 22 mpg in the city while on the highway this will be around 30mpg.
Availability and Price
The price of the base trim will be around $27,600. It will also depend on the cab configuration also. The most expensive cab will be the crew cab which will cost around $55,000. The 2018 Ram 1500 SRT will be available in the first quarter of the year 2018.
