The A6 nameplate was firstly introduced by Audi in 1994 as a replacement for Audi 100 model. Since then, German carmaker created four generations of this model, and the current generation came in 2011. Now, Audi is preparing a fifth-generation for the upcoming 2019 Audi A6.
This mid-size sedan is scheduled for Geneva International Motor Show in March this year. Audi called the forthcoming model a “multivalent vehicle in the luxury class” with plenty of sportiness and latest tech features. The A6 model comes as a four-door sedan with the new interior layout and fresh exterior.
2019 Audi A6 Attractive and Sporty Design
Audi A6 will take some cues from the A7 Sportback and A8 models. The plan is to employ company’s newest styling language in almost all incoming vehicles. The 2019 Audi A6 is also coming with sharper lines and beefier details, and even that this is not a total redesign, we can call it “all-new”. Up front, the single-frame grille dominates the front fascia, mostly thanks to a polished metal divider lines. The grille is bigger than before, and the headlights as well.
They received more flat design with clearly defined edges. HD Matrix LED units are optional. The washer jets are integrated into the windshield wipers now, while a brushed metal surrounds the windows. There are also 14 different paint options available. Audi offers plenty of sports packages with S line pack among them.
2019 Audi A6 Interior
Just like the exterior, the interior is changed significantly compared to the outgoing model. The center console and the dashboard are completely new, and plenty of buttons and knobs are now touchscreen controlled. Furthermore, deep black panels are giving A6 a premium appearance that perfectly blends with the wood materials.
The controls are more oriented toward the driver seat so the operation is now much easier. New seat design includes a ventilation and massage functions. Aluminum gear shifter looks great on the central tunnel. However, if one opt for MMI navigation package, the third screen is included and is placed behind the steering wheel. This 12.3-inch digital screen will replace traditional analog gauges and will provide information like speed and it will help with navigation instructions.
