Some images are already circling on the internet forums, and the first impressions are positive, as the new model is very similar to an X7 Concept that was revealed at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show.
2019 BMW X7 exterior looks muscular
In BMW, they prefer to call this SUV an “SAV” which stands for Sport Activity Vehicle. It makes perfect sense as this model is more activity and less utility. The 2019 BMW X7 is very similar to the X5 model. At first, it causes same outrage reactions from the fans, but this is exactly what BMW is trying to build, a bulkier X5. Compared to X5, the X7 model comes with more imposing styling and it makes a real statement.
This three-row SUV looks muscular and all the features appear bigger than they really are. That stands for wheels, a kidney grille, new bumper and even the LED headlights. An iconic BMW’s design language is present, and according to the pictures, the design gets boxier toward the rear part. A huge moonroof is optional and it stretches from the tailgate to the driver’s position.
2019 BMW X7 interior is luxurious
The forthcoming 2019 BMW X7 will hit the car markets with a luxurious cabin, something we all expect from BMW to deliver. X7 model is likely to borrow plenty of design cues and amenities from the X5 model. Leather and Alcantara materials are also covering almost every inch of the cabin, except the places where we can see wood or chrome materials.
The new 12.3-inch instrument cluster—digital is added, and it uses a 3D sensors that will detect hand gestures. In that way, adjusting navigation, audio volume and much more is easier than ever. Furthermore, a 7-inch Touch Command Tablet is removable and it allows the passengers to control everything from the audio system to HVAC controls. Bowers & Wilkins surround system is included with 16 speakers and 1,400 watts.
2019 BMW X7 engine and acceleration
The all-new 2019 BMW X7 is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine. However, an optional 4.4-liter V8 is included as an optional drivetrain. The 3.0-liter unit produces up to 335 HP and 330 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, BMW X7 hit 0 to 60 in less than six seconds and the top speed is rated at 130 mph.
The more powerful 4.4-liter V8 is optional and it cranks out 445 HP and 480 lb-ft of torque. This unit will make X7 go from 0 to 60 mph in less than five seconds, a significant improvement.
Diesel and hybrid rumors
A diesel engine is an option, however, there are no words from BMW on this subject yet. The hybrid model is likely to arrive in a two years time.
2019 BMW X7 price and release date
The upcoming 2019 BMW X7 is priced at $68,000. However, loading more options could take you to $85,000. This 3-row SUV will go on sale by the end of 2018.
