The all-new 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor will come with some changes and it will look better than ever before. Base F-150 model is more than well-equipped and it delivers great performances. But sometimes that is not good enough for most of the customers, and that’s where the Raptor kicks in.
This truck is really wild, both on and off the road. The aluminum body, plenty of latest off-road equipment, a wide range of powertrains, superb suspension and upscale interior are just some of the reason why this truck is probably the best in the segment. However, the list of changes is small, so the 2019 F-150 Raptor will arrive with only a few exterior refreshments.
2019 Ford F-150 Raptor design changes, colors
The forthcoming 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor sports plenty of aluminum materials and that includes aluminum bed and body panels. Panels are heavy-bolstered by flared fenders, and the front adds a black-out grille. Moreover, the headlights are distinctive and generally, the front end looks bulky. What is so specific about the F-150 Raptor is that this truck is wider than its all of its rivals. To be more precise, it is two inches higher and six inches wider.
Of course, maneuvering this truck in tight spaces is a problem and you should avoid those situations. The 2019 model gets a mild facelift such as new tailgate design and cleaner taillights. A Race Red, Guard, and Lead Foot are new exterior colors while the Avalanche and Ruby Red are gone. The front bumper now looks more unique and heavy-duty skid plates are astonishing. Both front and rear parts are including tow hooks and the standard wheels are 17-inch long. A panoramic sunroof is optional.
2019 Ford F-150 Raptor interior will get the optional ambient lighting
There will be no interior upgrades for the next model. Everything from the inside will literally stay intact. However, there is no need to upgrade the already good-looking and comfortable interior. Not a single thing inside the cabin seems like aging or cheap. The interior becomes a thing of luxury if you opt for more optional equipment. That includes leather seats with heating and cooling options, unique interior colors and much more.
The room is ample, especially in the Super Crew Cab that offers a class-leading rear legroom. The rear legroom is rated at 45.5 inches. Speaking of features, the dashboard includes soft-touch materials as the hard plastic is gone. A leather-wrapped steering wheel is standard, while the ambient lighting is optional and it offers a wide range of colors.
2019 Ford F-150 Raptor engine
The 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor offers two drivetrain options, one existing and one new engine. Moreover, the suspension is all-new, just like the transmission and various systems that will improve overall performance and fuel economy. The standard unit is a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that can create 411 HP and 434 lb-ft of torque.
The greatest news for the Raptor fans is a new 7.0-liter DOHC V8 powertrain that should deliver astonishing figures. Sadly, while the Ford confirmed this unit, the exact engine specs are yet to be announced. The V8 output will use a 10-speed automatic transmission, an all-wheel-drive setup and the “Torque-On-Demand” system. A hybrid drivetrain could happen as well, but not before 2020.
