Interior, Cargo Space and Trim options
The all-new 2019 GMC Acadia brings even more upscale cabin with modern design and soft-touch surfaces. The cabin isn’t as large as the first-generation and despite that, Acadia still offers three-rows of seats. The second row now features a Smart Slide system for easier access and both second and third-row fold flat for increased cargo space.
When both rows are folded flat, cargo room increases to a 79.0 cubic-feet. The interior looks pleasing and controls are more intuitive than before. Gauge cluster comes in black and white color with red needles. Denali trim adds telescoping steering wheel that is also leather-wrapped and comes with a heating option.
This 2019 GMC Acadia will be available with trims SLE, SLT and Denali. The first one SLE will offer features like keyless open and start, Outside heated power-adjustable mirrors, Leather-wrapped steering wheel, Heated front seats and Automatic climate control. The next one is SLT that will get 20-in. bright aluminum wheels with light accents, 7-in. infotainment system, 4.2-in monochromatic driver information screen, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Bose 8-speaker sound system, Front Pedestrian Braking and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
2019 GMC Acadia Denali trim
The highlights of the company offer are the Denali model that will be much more attractive. The front fascia in this model will get a stylish grill and better-looking wheels. This model will be available in seven exterior color options and two in the interior. The interior will get Jet Black and Cocoa Shale colors while exterior will be available in Crimson Red Tintcoat, White Frost Tintcoat, Ebony Twilight Metallic, Iridium Metallic, QuickSilver, Blue Steel and Black Cherry.
It will feature highlights like HID Headlamps with GMC Signature C-Shape LED Lighting, Heated and Ventilated Driver and Front Passenger Perforated Leather-Appointed Seating, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Traction Select System and many others.
The safety features in 2019 GMC Acadia will include front passenger/child presence detector, Airbags, the frontal and side impact for driver and front passenger, driver side knee and head curtain, side-impact for all rows, Automatic Crash Response, Stolen Vehicle Assistance, Rear Vision Camera and Tire Pressure Monitoring System. However, there is also Teen Driver mode. This feature will supervise driving behavior.
2019 GMC Acadia Engine Variants and Towing Capacity
Two naturally aspirated drivetrain options are available in the 2019 GMC Acadia. The standard choice is still a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 196 HP and 192 lb-ft of torque. It is also a first GMC engine that features a start/stop technology. The 2.5-liter engine’s fuel economy is 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.
The second and optional engine is a 3.6-liter V6 with the power of 310 horses and 272 lb-ft of torque. Both drivetrains are supported by a smooth 6-speed automatic transmission. The V6 engine now offers all-wheel drive setup as standard and a fuel economy is rated at 18 mpg in the city and 25 on the highway.
The 2019 GMC Acadia comes with great towing capacity. The V6 engine that is also available in Denali trim can tow up to 4000 pounds. If you need Hybrid model one can choose models Toyota Highlander Hybrid or Ford Explorer. This two model have the same towing capacity like Acadia.
2019 GMC Acadia Price and Release Date
The price of an all-new 2019 GMC Acadia is $30,000. That is cheaper than Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, and Toyota Highlander. SLE trim will cost somewhere around $34,000 and SLT almost $40,000. Acadia Denali model starts at $50,000. The release date is not officially set, however, some sources are speculating about January 2019.
