The 2019 GMC Yukon is the last surviving fourth generation upgraded version launched first time by the General Motor Company way back as early as 1999. General Motors is expected to set new standards in comfort and luxury with its heated and ventilated leather seats. It comes with invisible charging system with power outlets of 110 V each. 2019 GMC Yukon Powertrain
The 2019 GMC Yukon will be available on the same operating platform as its predecessors. There is going to be no change in that. It comes with GM’s GMT K2 platform shared by other motor majors such as Chevy for its Tahoe and Suburban. The new model will possibly introduce a 10-speed automatic transmission feature across all models of the Yukon.
A brand new 5.3-liter V8 engine will power it. Furthermore, it is capable of generating 355 hp and producing a torque of 383 pound/feet. This engine will have EPA city/highway rating of 16/23 mpg (2WD), 16/22 mpg (4WD), 15/22 mpg (4WD XL).
However, the upcoming model also comes with also with the larger 6.2-liter engine. This one is allocated for the Yukon XL version which will produce up to 465 hp.
The mighty engine also comes with great fuel economy in the city/highway. The 14/23 mpg (2WD), 14/22 mpg (4WD), 14/23 mpg (2WD XL) 14/21 mpg (4WD XL).
2019 GMC Yukon Hybrid Engine
The first model of GMC Yukon Hybrid debuted in late 2013. This full-size SUV comes with a gasoline-electric powertrain. In the new model, we expect 6.0-liter gas V8 engine. This engine combined with twin electric motors will produce around 332 horsepower. At this moment, there is no official EPA rating for it.
2019 GMC Yukon Prices and Debut
It is expected to be available in stores by early 2019. Furthermore, the 2019 GMC Yukon is expected to have Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of 50.000. This is the price for the base SLE model. The next one SLT comes with starting price of the $59,000.
However, the XL models with SLE equipment cost $52,500, the SLT is around $9000 more and the Denali model is around $70,000.
