2019 Honda Insight Unique Styling
The design of new 2019 Honda Insight is based on company’s latest styling language and it looks very similar to the Clarity and Accord models. Just like other Honda’s models, the Insight also features angular headlamps, aggressive front bumper vents, and large front grille. However, the grille comes with a unique “flying wing” design. The side of vehicle benefited a lot from muscular fenders even without sharp beltline that runs through the door handles.
The rear is completely new. Insight’s predecessors came with hatchback configuration, and the upcoming Insight is more “suddenly” designed. The roof will remain sleek as it drops away toward the rear fascia, however, there is no tailgate. In the lower rear area, some black inserts with chrome materials add sportier feel to the whole vehicle.
2019 Honda Insight Interior is much more Improved
Much like the exterior, the interior also shares some familiar features with the existing company’s models, and that is a good thing. The cabin is both classy and modern and few sporty styling cues boost interior furthermore. The dash comes with the A/C vents in the center stack. An eight-inch infotainment screen is below those vents, and the whole configuration looks clean and well arranged. Just Honda announced, new Insight will provide plenty of premium features.
Nevertheless, some amenities like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and even leather seats are all optional. The new infotainment system is likely to come with smartphone-like features and home-screen shortcuts.
Safety ratings are great, with Honda LaneWatch and other driver-assistance features. Optional amenities like Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, and all-new Traffic Sign Recognition are all included. The wheelbase is longer and the upcoming 2019 Insight will hit the markets as the roomiest model ever made in insight line.
2019 Honda Insight Engine Department
While the details about the drivetrain of 2019 Honda Insight are not clear yet, the company claims that the new Insight will deliver class-leading power. Of course, this isn’t some huge achievement as the competitors aren’t powerful at all. For example, Toyota Prius offers 121 HP and Chevy Volt 150 HP.
Speculation is that the 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle drivetrain will power the forthcoming Insight. It can deliver at least 155 HP. This engine is coming with an electric motor that comes with a lithium-ion battery. Combined mileage is 50 mph.
2019 Honda Insight Price and Release Date
Just like the engine, the price is also a mystery for now, but the 2019 Honda Insight shouldn’t be much more expensive than the outgoing model. The speculated price is circling around $25,000, and comparing this number with Insight’s rivals, Toyota Prius costs $24,000 and Hyundai Ioniq $22,000. Mid-December is the most likely release date.
