The 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander is being prepared for release and the changes are in powertrain and design, mostly. It is a good choice if you want an affordable midsized crossover with decent amenities and third-row seating.
Mitsubishi may not be ranked among the top players in Crossover and SUV segments but the Japanese carmaker is no longer in the mood to stay in the shadow of its rivals. It is on a spree to update the lineup and that includes the popular midsized Crossover Outlander. Launched back in 2001 as Mitsubishi Airtrek, the vehicle has become one of the sought-after models in its lineup over the years. The company now sells hybrid and Sports variants of Outlander as well.
2019 Mitsubishi Outlander Interior and Exterior
The cabin of 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander may not please every buyer- more so when compared to the category rivals. The base trim has a truly Spartan looking cabin with an abundance of cheap looking plastic. The third row is there but it is kids friendly.
The design style of the 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander can be also described as understated and decent. It is not a striking as the Mazda CX-5 or others. Furthermore, the elements of hatchback, wagon and SUV design are there and the mix may not be up to everyone’s choice.
The wheels are sleek and help make up for the somewhat bulbous body. The available exterior colors are rally red metallic, alloy silver metallic, Labrador black metallic, cosmic blue metallic and mercury grey metallic. The car is sold in trim levels- ES, SE, SEL, LE, and top end GT.
Standard and Optional Package
The 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander gets loaded with decent safety features and amenities pretty good barring the base trim.
The ES trim adds 18-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, LED running lights, heated mirrors, 2-zone automated climate control, a rear privacy glass, rearview camera, leather-coated steering wheel, Bluetooth, and also a 7-inch touch display along with a few USB ports.
SE trim gets electronic parking brake, fog lights, keyless ignition and heated front seats. LE trim brings in black exterior trim, black coated roof rails and safety wise it gets blind-spot monitoring.
The SEL trim comes with the gloss-black interior, automatic headlights, leather upholstery, automatic wipers and auto-dimming rearview mirror. GT trim also adds some aesthetic enhancements.
An optional Touring Package is there and a Premium package is also available. Some standalone updates are also offered. The Rockford Fosgate sound setup is awesome but Mitsubishi’s navigation system is outdated.

Summing it up
