The current GT-R Nismo offers spectacular racing characteristics, but 2019 Nissan GTR Track Edition Nismo is about to bring it on to something that we’ve never seen before. If we can truck unofficial reports that circulate on the network, this model should come next year, as some kind of a farewell version of the original GT-R. Soon after, the all-new second generation should come. This version will come in very limited numbers and with several times higher price.
2019 Nissan GTR Nissan GT-R Track Edition Nismo Design
In terms of base design characteristics, the2019 Nissan GTR Track Edition Nismo will be changed almost entirely compared to the standard Nismo model. First of all, expect significant chassis strengthenings and completely new suspension. Basically, complete mechanics will come with upgrades. Same goes for the styling.
We are about to see a new appearance. It will keep the basics of the standard model, but with a completely new body kit. Expect to see racing things like a racing bumper, huge wing, wide fenders, massive side skirts, huge diffusers, and similar things. Wheels will also come with a completely new design.
2019 Nissan GTR Track Edition Nismo Interior
The interior design will be a story for itself. We probably won’t see anything in common with the standard model. Expect to see a true race-spec cabin of the 2019 Nissan GTR Track Edition Nismo. This would mean a race spec steering wheels and seats, even roll bars. The cockpit will be completely stripped off, so you won’t find any convenience feature inside this racing car. Moreover, most of the parts will be made of carbon fiber and other lightweight materials, which will provide significant weight savings.
2019 Nissan GTR Track Edition Nismo Engine
Another significant change will be under the hood. The engine of this version will move back, which will practically make it a mid-engine layout. Of course, expect several other modifications that will improve already amazing weight distribution and provide an even lower center of gravity.
Speaking of the engine by itself, we won’t see some super-significant changes. It will be the same 3.8-liter V6 unit, which shouldn’t feature much more power compared to the standard Nismo version, which is good for about 600 hp. On the other side, the new version will feature RWD, which seems pretty unusual considering that all models feature AWD. Still, there is no doubt that car enthusiasts will appreciate this mid-engine RWD layout very much.
2019 Nissan GTR Track Edition Nismo Release Date and Price
The 2019 Nissan GTR Track Edition Nismo should arrive sometime in the next year. Details about the price are still unknown. Still, if we consider that this version will come in a small number of units made, it will probably cost a few times more than standard Nismo versions.
The new generation of Nissan GT-R will appear on the market by the end of next year. Latest news about new generation you can find on the Nissan Alliance blog.
