2019 Renault Captur has been facelifted

The popular Franch Company has been trying to woo the urban, young buyers away from the rivals like Ford and GM with the newest model 2019 Renault Captur. After tying up with Nissan, it is actually faring well. To cash in on the mini SUV craze, the company launched the Captur model a few years back.

The cabin now comes with soft-touch surfaces and good ergonomics overall. There are also rumors that this model will get a bigger version called Grand Capture. In safety and amenities, the 2019 Renault Captur performs well but some hiccups are there. The touchscreen display looks snazzy but it is not so fluid to operate. You may have trouble using Bluetooth with your phone too.

Zen trim gets a rearview camera and rear parking sensors. The Intens trim gets additional parking sensors, LED headlights, enhanced sat -nav system, panoramic sunroof, and blind-spot warning. However, you still do not get autonomous emergency braking.

The 2019 Renault Captur is fitted with engines that are suited for urban driving but you can take the car for occasional highway trips. The dual-clutch automatic gearbox feels a tad slow though.

The Intens trim gets a specially extended grip control setup which is similar to traction control system. It is not an ideal car for tackling off terrains though. Renault’s Easy Park system, only available in Intens trim is excellent. You get both gasoline and diesel engines to pick from. You only get FWD with the models. The new model from some rumors will get a twin-turbo 1.6-liter four that makes 158 HP and 280 lb-ft of torque. This engine will come with a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Also, in the offer will be the same old 1.2-litre petrol engine that is able to make 118 HP and 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder option that will deliver 108 HP. With this engine, the model will accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 9.9 seconds.

The exact release date and price of 2019 Renault Captur is unknown. However, this car will debut in late 2018. The expected base trim price is approx $22.000. After the great success of the predecessor in the 2017 year, this model is sold in 112.000 copies in the first quartal of the year. The company expects in future 250.000 units per year of this model.
