The new Altima offers a diesel and gasoline engines instead. The standard unit is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces up to 180 HP and 178 lb-ft of torque.
The optional and more recommendable engine is a 3.5-liter V6 that is rated at 270 HP and 251 lb-ft of torque. Both drivetrains are using a variable automatic transmission (CVT). Standard 2.5-liter’s fuel economy is 27 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway. V6 engine comes with 22/32 mpg figures. Another thing that the 2020 Altima doesn’t offer is an all-wheel drive.
