The Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is an exclusive Swedish supercar without outstanding features, currently, only two vehicles have been manufactured and one is reportedly owned by world-famous boxer Floyd Mayweather.
This limited-edition car consists of a white carbon-fiber body, in fact, the word Trevita is Swedish for ‘three whites.’ Just like other Koenigsegg models, this vehicle has a distinctive clear-carbon look where the surface weaves remain visible to the naked eye. Nevertheless, sometimes the owner may choose to have a tint added to the exterior coat, such as blue tint.
Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita – Luxurious Design
The car has a beautiful Diamond Weave carbon-fiber exterior that sparkles like a collection of fine diamonds exposed to sunlight. It’s reported that originally Koenigsegg wanted to produce three versions of the Trevita, but the complex manufacturing process of the Diamond-Weave frame proved too hard to replicate, therefore only two vehicles came out of the production line. Due to this, the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is one of the rarest cars ever to be made by the manufacturer.
It also features a dual carbon rear-wing and separable hardtop that can safely be stored in the front trunk area. Experts agree that for the coating Koenigsegg created something truly special. The body doesn’t consist of a standard tint or paint like other cars, but rather 3 distinct hues of white that complement each other.
When it comes to Chassis, the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita also has a carbon-fiber base frame with an aluminum honeycomb. Not to mention the integrated fuel tanks that offer optimal distribution of weight, for maximum safety even when driving at high speeds. Furthermore, there are two-way amendable VPS gas-hydraulic shock absorbers available which are also pushrod operated.
Engine and Performance
The Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is powered by a 4.8-liter V8 aluminum engine, consisting of two super-chargers that generate an impressive 1,018 horsepower and 798 lb-ft of torque. This power is delivered through the 6-speed crossway gearbox and a torque-sensitive special slip differential.
This model weighs only 2,821 pounds and is able to do 0 to 62 mph in only 2.9 seconds. From 0-124 mph can be achieved in just 8.7 seconds before topping the maximum speed of more than 250 mph. Despite these high speeds, stopping power is still very efficient thanks to the carbon ceramic brakes. The front brakes consist of 8-piston light alloy Brembo mono-block calipers. The rear ones have 6-piston light alloy AP Racetrack calipers.
Conclusion and Price of the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita
This is one of the most expensive cars in the world, costing a whopping $4.8 million. Reports are that the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita – Floyd Mayweather’s Sports Car was put on auction. There are no estimates on what it would fetch once sold. Considering its exclusiveness, celebrity connection and low mileage of only 1,947 miles it may even surpass the original retail price. In summary, it is a rare luxury supercar with many exciting features that are way ahead of its competitors.
